I couldn’t run it on XP either, but it runs just fine on VISTA with 1GB of RAM memory. It’s a lot of fun if you have the specs needed.

I have played this game in the PSP, which in my opinio is great. Its smooth, and the graphics are nice. Now, for the PC version, I don’t know how it made it through quality control, if there even was any. The worst part, is that walmart doesn’t accept returns for refunds. I was stuck with this useless game. It runs in slow motion, and the graphics are bad and choppy.
I recommend the psp version though.

The graphics don’t work as well on Vista, but I love poker. I’m pleased with my product.

cons: 1. took over ONE HOUR to load game … got to be the record for the
slowest loading program ever..
2. Game play is not user friendly and Activision’s attempt to have
“real people” as opponents fails completely.
pros: 1. Only good thing about this is Amazom’s return policy (which I am
using on this loser).
Play Party Poker on line … it’s more fun…

Really liked playing this game, since I watch the WSOP on TV. However I made it through a full quick game of All-In Texas Hold-em about twice and now whenever I play it locks up after a seemingly random time with an application error:
The application, C:Program FilesWorld Series Of Pokerwsop.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 12/01/2006 @ 13:31:03.375 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 0040C39A (wsop)
ALSO
Faulting application wsop.exe, version 1.0.0.1, faulting module wsop.exe, version 1.0.0.1, fault address 0×0000c39a.
Basically have to agree with other reviews that this is getting to be a drag. Just when things start going good, crash! Checked the Activision web site and did not find any patches. Too bad! It was fun while it lasted. Liked the commentary by announcers.
Nice try Activision, it’s in the details and support.
